Early artwork

This is an incomplete archive of early artwork from high school and college.

High school

Having drawn my whole life, my time in high school was spent learning and playing with paint and color. Since I was readily available as a model, much of my work is surreal self portraiture. The majority of work is either drawn with pencil or charcoal or painted with mixed media.

A small claim to fame is some friends and I created a Winterfresh gum commercial as part of a contest and won. Our commercial was shown nationally during network primetime. Below is the aired version and our original submission:

College

Though I studied computer science in college, I managed to take art classes for leisure (not credit unfortunately.) During this time I continued drawing, painting, and learned printmaking. Loose "series" emerge across classes, for example, one semester I decided to have birds as my exclusive subject across the drawing and printmaking classes, regardless of the assignment.
