The National Monument Audit

Monument Study Set Search Interface

The National Monument Audit, led by Monument Lab, assesses the current monument landscape across the United States. The Audit draws on existing data on monuments from federal, state, local, tribal, institutional, and publicly assembled sources.

I served as the project’s Data Artist, responsible for accessing, analyzing, cleaning, enriching, and visualizing the project’s data, including building a public searchable map interface. My process for this project is documented in detail and the code is available publicly.
